Howdy all, first post here.
I'm having problems finding a thermometer with a long enough probe. I'm mashing in by hand in a 10bbl system and I want something to check my temp in several different areas. I'd preferably like the probe somewhere around 3 feet, and the readout preferably digital. The closest I can find is this from GW kent: http://breweryparts.com/index.php/eq...mometer-1.html but I'd like the probe longer than that. Any leads someone might offer? Or hints on fabricating my own? Thanks!

I have used that particular one before. Works well make sure that is doesn't get excessively wet or dropped too much. The leads that hold the watch battery in place don't do a very good job. As far as length of the probe, it would be nice if that one was a little longer.

Plus. Come companies that sell thermometers with long stems will do custom lengths too.
