I'm going to brew a Wit beer this summer, but none of the suppliers I work with carry bitter orange peel or corriander seed, can anyone recommend a good supplier

    Thanks,
    Bill

Try Steinbart's out of Portland, OR. 800-735-8793.

They carry bitter orange curacau peel and whole coriander seed.

You might also look locally for places that sell fresh herbs and spices. I did a Yahoo search and found these vendors, who looked promising (no connection, never used them myself!).

Shop from our high-quality range of food seasoning & bulk spices online. Get what you need at your favorite online spice store today!

I use LD Carlson out of Ohio for orange peel and Atlantic Spice of MA for corriander.

We get our coriander and orange peel from Frontier Natural Products Coop (www.frontiercoop.com/shop/merchant.mvc). We purchase the pre-ground coriander and orange peel in 1 lb bags and have always received great service and a consistently high quality product.

              Good luck.

After discussing Wit beer with a coupe Belgian brewers I switched to sweet orange peel. I purchase the ground peel from a local bulk food store. I also prefer whole corriander to ground as the flavor is more subtle IMHO.

                Good Luck,
                David

                  supplies

Between LD carlson and Crosby & Baker you should be able to get what you need. If you dont already use them they are good sources for lots of things. Also they are relitivly close so shipping wont be killer. They both are on the web. C&B=508-636-5154
