Brewer Position Opening -Colorado
Durango Brewing Company is now accepting resumes for a brewer position.
This position includes but is not limited to:
-All aspects of operating our 15 bbl brewhouse
-Maintaining current established recipes
-Filtering, Cleaning, Cellaring
-Bottling on a 4 head Meheen
-Ability to work solo and team environment
-The desire to be a part of and continue to grow a small brewery
Ideal Applicants should have:
-Minimum of three (3)years professional brewing experience
-Bottling experience...we will be bottling 12 and 22 oz bottles
-Understanding of brewing science and yeast handling
-Good communication, and organization skills
-Ability to multitask
-Ability to drive a forklift
-Ability to lift up to 160 lbs

Lifting kegs is actually pretty common in the brewing industry.
Man, I wish I had some professional brewing experience...I live in Durango, and would love to get into brewing as a profession!
do you think that the concise course in commercial brewing offered by Siebels would suffice for this position?
