Easy way to get spears out of PLASTIC KEGS

Ok, so I have felt like a complete failure for the last two days as I have been struggling to get the spears out of my 1/6bbl plastic kegs.
The plastic kegs are screw in style, with a safety retainer.
I struggled with one of them almost ruining my brand new kegs, PKA is out of the tool to remove the spears.
So this is what I learned:

1.) Unscrew the keg using the tightening tool or some version of a home-made jobbie. (Depressurize first)
2.) Safety retainer will keep the spear from coming out. So now you put a pair of channel locks or large vice grips around the base of the spear off of the threads and place a dime(coin) on the pressure ball.
3.) Push a keg coupler into the sankey fitting and tighten it in place. Push down on the activate lever locking the keg coupler in place.
4.) Lift the spear out, it is that easy, voila! It is out!

    plastic keg spear removal

use a European tap handle fitting. it depresses deeper and then you can unscrew the shaft.

    Plastic Keg spear removal tools

I bought some plastic kegs, but the seller wanted to hold onto the spear removal tools. Does anyone know where I can purchase tools like these?

plastic kegs of america sells em, but its a total rip a $200+ a piece. Especially the stupid wrench. You should really jesy have a machinist make you a fitting that attaches to a socket wrench as that's pretty much what they sell you.
