Head Brewer needed for startup in Seaside, Oregon

Creekside Brewery and Pub is accepting resumes for a complete head brewer/cellar position. We are looking for a self-reliant, ambitious individual with the ability and passion to do everything related to the brewery. The ideal candidate must have brewing/distilling start up experience. Exciting ground floor opportunity to brew in Oregon. Investment in startup a plus but not mandatory.

The responsibilities include performing every task associated with beer in a brewpub setting, but is not limited to:
*Operating and maintaining all aspects of a 15 BBL brew house (mashing, lautering, boiling, hop additions, whirlpooling, wort cooling)
*Complete cellar operations and maintenance (Wort transfer from brew house, oxygenation, yeast collection, management and pitching, perform beer transfers and carbonation, pre and post cleaning and sanitation of all transfer lines and ferment vessels.)
*Travel to represent brewery at beer festivals
*Conduct server education
*Complete paperwork for all brewing activities including internal and external record keeping.
*Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas in cellar and brew house.

Ideal candidates should have:
*Ability to work independently in the brewery as well as be a team player in the business.
*At least 2 year experience in a brewpub/brewery setting
*Strong mechanical ability
*Problem solving/troubleshooting skills
*Understanding of brewing science
*Good organizational skills
*Ability to multitask
*Safe chemical handling knowledge
*Heavy lifting over 55 lbs.

Prior professional brewing experience and/or formal brewing education are a must. Ideal candidate will be dependable, self-motivated, detail oriented, with the ability to work well independently without supervision. The desire to be a part of and continue to grow a small brewery and to live in Seaside, Oregon is a must.

Located on Hwy 101 and the Neawanna Creek, Creekside Brewery and Pub will grow to become a destination for local and seasonal residents as well as tourist visiting the beautiful north Oregon Coast.
