    Sleepy Dog

I contacted Rob at Sleepy Dog Brewery (found him on the Pegas website) directly by email. He was kind enough to reply:
The Pegas is a fine product. It does need the main seal replaced from time to time as it seems to swell up and cause the unit to fail, but it's a very cheap part, readily available and easy to get to during normal cleaning. We have taken it out of service however due to local customer issues. By which I mean my walk-in customers are pretty dumb and new things scare them. I was always happy with it and it is still displayed at my tap room. Hope that helps.

I have been intrigued by their products as well.

      Pegas Craftap

      Hi Everyone!
I would like to mention this point, that Sleepy Dog Brewery has installed PEGAS beer dispensing system for PET bottles – it names PEGAS NovoTap. But Brewtopian asked about PEGAS CrafTap – this one is intended for dispensing of beer into Glass Growlers. PEGAS NovoTap is not to be confused with CrafTap - there is an essential difference. More about CrafTap you can get on our web-site - http://beerinnovations.com/beerequip...nsers/overview, also you can find out what the proud owners of Craftap are saying about it - http://beerinnovations.com/beerequip...stomer-reviews.
This is simply worth reading - http://www.99bottles.net/blog/2011/0...-go/#more-1443.

We've been running 2 separate Pegas Craft Taps for about a year now and we couldn't be happier. We run all our beer off of serving tanks in the basement and have manifolds that we built ourselves that allows us to switch which beer runs to the growler filler. They run a bit better if the beer is run through a beer pump, but overall they fill the growler quickly and efficiently. They're a good conversation piece since they're mounted behind the bar. Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks ever so much for your mentioning of the benefits of CrafTap using! With getting of such comments we understand, that our work wasn’t a waste of time. We’re here to make owners of small breweries and pubs like you happy and satisfied!
Now there’s a solusion, that actually let you serve up to 4 different beers from one unit - PEGAS CraftPad switching lines manifold.
Thank you again for your post – it makes us feel also proud for our job))

            Shelf Life

We are thinking of purchasing the Craft Tap for growler fills at a start up in Chicago. Does any one have info on shelf life compared to fills straight from the tap?

              Hey, Kevin,

Are you filling the 2 liter German growlers with the Pegas?

              Re-arriving in the future, maybe.

Would certainly be interested in how you built the manifold.

Drop this idea and run as fast as you can away from it.
Sorry Technology, that you will live to regret more than likely.
                    An unreliable and shoddy product.
There is no sane reason to complicate filling glass jugs in this way.

Already bought the faucet. Unfortunately cannot return them. Will have to make the most of what I have... did you have problems with it?

                        Craftap 3

Any updated thoughts on these ?

I’m looking at potentially getting a craftap 3 and the comments I’ve read on probrewer are mixed - just not sure if the model 3 addresses some of the earlier concerns or not ?

                        Thanks

We have been using 3 x Pegas Craftap 2.0 for over 3 years and it's a good system. Have done tests on dispensed beers and they stay relatively fresh unaltered for 3-6 months easilly - depending on hopiness and ABV.

Due to our taproom space pressures we have had to only leave one going and sell 2 others.

If of interest please email antonmusthop@gmail.com

It's in great used condition and can come with our custom ordered s/s manifolds that allow 6 lines through one dispenser.

Thanks - I'm in Australia so shipping a used one probably isn't going to work.
Appreciate the feedback on your experience with it and good look selling your spare ones.
