Indecisive Brewing Co. or IDSFA Brewing Co.
We are looking for a name for our small scale craft brewery. Ales include Chocolate Java Porter, Honey Hop Ale, Balckberry Kolsch, DIPA, French Amber, Esspresso Oak aged Stout, Belgium Plum, etc. High gravity, lots of flavor. We live near the foothills of Golden Colorado were we are rich in mountaineering, mining (School of Mines College) mountain biking, rock climbing, river rafting, snowboarding/skiing, hiking, well, you get the picture. We both moved from Florida years ago, we love the Bahamas (Abaco Islands) and music but are leaning toward a Mountain name. Ideas thrown around are 'Mt. Zion', 'Golden Sun', Dogcatcher' (good beer name), 'Alpiner'. Mt. Zion is too "religious" and "Golden" anything is too worn out here. We would like it simple and unforgettable, I think New Belgium and Dog Fish Head are brilliant names and companies. Don't be afraid to be really creative. I've had suggestions as far as "Fetus, Feed Us, Fajitas" (say it out loud) and "Unicorn Urine"...
To make things interesting we would like to sweeten the pot with lifetime beer.
I have another thread on homebrew talk here: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f46/new-...choose-264293/
but nothing has really caught our eye except maybe 'Kettle Bottom' and Summit (exists). I like 'Alpineer' and 'Alpinista' but those also exists as an outdoor shop and restaurant in Colorado.
I realize it will just come to us one day but we thought we would rattle the cage a little to weigh all options.
Thanks and Cheers, I hope this gets interesting.

According to US Trademark search, Mountaineering Brewery is not protected. I know that there is/was such a brewery in WVa, but apparantly they have closed.
Now I'm just wondering how you are going to get me that beer?

Hey Walt,
Thanks for the local suggestion.
I've been meaning to drop by and see you guys in Aurora. I've only been in the homebrew side, when is a good time to come talk to a brewer?
Cheers,
Luke
I'll have to sleep on Mine Shaft... I like Pickaxe but Tommyknockers already got it.
How about Black Lung Brewing Company! Derek Zoolander can be your company mascot and your slogan can be "I think I got the Black Lung, Pa!". Or at least you can name your stout the Black Lung Stout.![]()
You have a good name, actually.
