Special B?

Is there a substitute for Special B malt?????? I need an answer fast!

Simpsons extra dark crystal will get you in the ball park. It is not the same but some great dark fruit notes come out of that malt.

Weyermann's cararoma will also get you close. I have used it not quite the same but in the ballpark.

Yup, extra dark crystal from Simpson or Cargill. I've all three interchangably with good results.

Crystal 120 range from just about anyone is pretty close

I've had luck with using a blend of Simpson's dark and extra dark crystal for substituting in a dubbel with good results.
