When it came time to dive into the nitty-gritty of drafting up the actual investment solicitation, putting together that paperwork and having it all technically/legally squared away, how did you start that exercise?

I have a few acquaintances who know about such matters but all are very busy and I don't want to merely rely on someone else's pro-bono input. It's all sufficiently foreign to me that, failing any other bright ideas, I'd be apt to just walk into a CPA's office and see what's what. But I'm curious to hear how others have approached this step in the process.
