    Dry yeast options?

I have used S04, S23 and Nottingham in the past, all good... I was wondering what folks are using, thoughts on the yeasts and what kinds of pricing people are seeing on 500g packages? Also, are there any other dry yeast producers apart from Fermentis and Danstar/Lallemand?

I just order a case of 20 bricks of Fermentis S-04 from Brewers Supply Group. I have had excellent luck with this yeast in other breweries I have worked for. Never been a big fan of more than 3 gens though. gets tired fast, especially if you don't have a way to count cells and such.

I just paid just about $900 for 20 bricks. each 20bbl batch requires 3 bricks. not a bad price if we can get a few gens out of it and the beer tastes great and the yeast drops nice a bright for me. filters easily when conditioned well.

I believe its about 50$ per brick for Fermentis Ale yeast from Brewers Supply/Crosby Baker. Ive had good luck with the S-05 and keep some on hand for emergencies as well. The S-04 was nice but not close to my regular house yeast WLP-001. S-04 you could get away with 1 brick per 15 Bbls but I find I need 2 with the S-05. S-05 does not floc as well as WLP 001 which aint that great a floccer anyway. I used some Lameland with success but for the price liquid is better.
