Pacific Brewing System Tank Bits and peices

    All,

I have some fermenters from PBST that for the most part are great, welds are super sanitary and the stainless is quality, despite what I hear about Chinese metallurgy. The problems I do have are with the sample valves and PRV's and pressure gages, which I assume are sub contracted because they are not up to the quality of the tanks. What I really need help with are the PRV's. Some don't hold pressure at all and some hold around 15psi when they feel like it or I lube the crap out of them. The basic design seems sound, but either the springs are not strong enough or the gaskets don't seat properly. Has anyone else had this problem? I've talked to Frank and he didn't really have a solution.
Does anyone know how the springs are rated/sized? Where can I get gaskets ordered or made? If I make them myself where can I get a sheet of silicone/nitrile/edpm/whatever to make them out of?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I replaced all the gaskets that came with our tanks. They were all (manway, triclover) silicone, thin, and very small. I have not broken down the PVRVs that came with either of mine b/c I have not had a problem. Give brewerygaskets.com a call they will find you something that will work.
