Looking for a Senior Brewer for Microbrewery/Brewpub in ISRAEL

Jem’s Beer Factory (jems.co.il) is a leading Israeli microbrewery and brewpub. We are expanding rapidly and are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Brewer that is interested in relocating. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years experience in a production brewery. The Brewer will work with the Founder and Brew Master, Jeremy Welfeld, and will be responsible for beer production.

Responsibilities:
• competency in all areas of brewing - from raw material to packaging
• manage brewing process and recipe formulation of all products ensuring quality and consistency
• quality control management including process and lab
• development and adherence to procedures and standards of safety
• purchasing and inventory of supplies and ingredients
• manage budgets for brewing supplies, raw materials and consumables
• manage schedule of routine maintenance on all mechanical systems
• annual budget including equipment requirements
• environmental monitoring
• analysis and control of production costs
• monthly reports
• sales support including festivals, promotion and, staff training

Qualifications
• 5+ years professional brewing + packaging experience
• formal degree/course work
• knowledge of fundamentals of plumbing and machinery
• interpersonal skills to deal with both internal (staff) and external (customers)
• capable of physical work
• knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
