  • Biofine Clear in tanks for too long?

As Im sure you all know once in a while hiccups will happen in a production schedule and a beer you wanted filtered this week wont go through till next week.

My concern is, that since we biofine our beer before filtering, if there is such a thing as letting it sit in a tank unfiltered for too long. Has anyone herd of or seen adverse affects from letting it sit in it a week (or say for the sake of speculation, longer).

    Thanks Yall

I have to agree. I have had the same experience as drinklocal. No ill effects.

I would run the thick bottoms off a few days after fining though. But once that is done, no problems with leaving it for months, as others obviously have also done. You will always get a little more settlement, but this is normally ony a thimbleful, mainly settled bottoms sliding down the walls after the initial removal.
