    Revolution Brewing is hiring a Director of Sales with a passion for craft beer to lead our wholesale sales expansion in the Chicago area and beyond. This is a senior level position that provides the right individual an opportunity to build a successful sales operation from the ground up and grow with our expanding company. This position will be based at our new 50,000 square foot production facility at 3340 N. Kedzie, which is slated to begin brewing operations in late April.

    The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the beverage industry, including management. Preference will be given to those with specific craft beer experience focused on sales, marketing and distributions and those with experience in the Chicago market.

    Duties

    Brand Management
    o Work with Managing Partner and Head Brewer to oversee beer portfolio including beer calendar and launch of new seasonal and year-round beers
    o Develop annual marketing plan and execute marketing strategies throughout the year including promotions, events & festivals
    o Supervise Marketing & Logisitcs Manager and other marketing staff
    o Manage our relationship with current distributor Louis Glunz Beer and evaluate new distributors in other territories

    Sales Management
    o Build long-term relationships with on- and off-premise retail accounts to increase sales from craft beer bars, neighborhood restaurants, Mom & Pop liquor stores and large chains like Binny’s, Jewel and Whole Foods.
    o Actively communicate and work side-by-side with wholesaler representatives including training them about our beers and brand
    o Serve as point of contact for potential new accounts and all sales-related inquires about Revolution Brewing.
    o Develop and distribute point-of-sales materials to accounts to increase our visibility.
    o Run promotions including beer dinners, tastings, beer of the month features
    o As we grow, hire and supervise additional sales people.

    Reporting
    o Make regular sales reports to Managing Partner & CFO highlighting trends, key accounts and areas for improvement
    o Forecast future sales growth as part of budgeting and expansion
    o Provide monthly expense account reports

    Events
    o Manage major events and festivals both at the new brewery and off-site with partners.
    o Ensure events are well-organized, enjoyable, safe and in-line with Revolution’s goals and expectations.

    Job Requirements
    o Energetic, with a passion for craft beer and people
    o Organized, self-disciplined, detail oriented & sociable
    o Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic industry
    o Knowledgeable about craft beer and the beer business
    o Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
    o Possess a college degree or equivalent experience
    o Has reliable transportation, valid driver's license and safe driving record
    o Vehicle insurance coverage that meets state minimum requirement
    o Able to lift 50 pounds

    Compensation

    Competitive base salary plus sales bonus and expense account. This position also includes a house account at our brewpub and tasting room for the few nights a week when you aren’t visiting accounts around town.
