    HLT and Steril Water

    How long does water have to be above 160-165 F to be considered sterile, or can it even be sterilized at that temp?

    You autoclave at 250F at 15 psi for 15 minutes = sterile.

    Those temps are more of pasteurization temps.

    Steril water is boilded (212 degrees F) for 15 minutes.
