DuPage River Brewing has been forced to drop the name and is now Sub-Urban Brewing based in Romeoville, Illinois, 30 min South West of Chicago. We have secured a site and are in the process of building a contract brewery that will have an annual starting output of 21,000 barrels. We are currently accepting letters of intent for capacity at the brewery. The facility will be outfitted with a 50 barrel Krones brew house, eight 160 barrel fermenters, eight 160 barrel bright tanks, bottling line, canning line, kegging line, temperature controlled storage, loading docks, laboratory, on site studio apartment (for visiting brewers) 3 barrel and ½ barrel pilot batch systems, tasting room, beer cellar and barrel aging room, onsite fruit & hop garden and too many other amenities to list.
I apolagize for the latency if you have tried to contact us earlier. Please follow up if you are interested in securing brewing capacity for your brewery. You can contact me at this e-mail address and I will forward you more information along with a letter of intent. We will be ready for production by 2nd quarter of 2012.
Cheers!

While I also find this quite interesting, I wonder how many contract brewers can brew (and sell!) 50 bbls and keep beers fresh. If someone was doing 600-800 bbls of beer year, I would think that they might be able to support their own brewery financially. Just thinking out loud.
Goose Island (30 miles up I-55) needs capacity and they certainly could fill a 50 barrel brewhouse.
They found some capacity about 700 hundred miles east (with a bit of help from their new parent). The "Wm. Bass & Co." also has a brewery in town - go figure. Must be the water up there.Originally Posted by GlassBrass440

We are still gathering up the funding to finish the project. As you all know it takes a shit load of money to build a facility such as the one I am proposing and gathering the amount of rich guys needed in the same room at the same time is like herding cats. I'm still workin on it though.....
