and why say tuna fish? is it not assumed that tuna IS a fish?
How about people that say ATM Machine. Is an ATM Machine a machine that spits out ATM'S?
and lastly, isn't one Mahi enough?

      Aaaahhh...

This has been cathartic. I hope everyone feels better.

Now I'm going to go back to cursing at the filter, hop contracts, and contractors. Sigh.

Hey Tsmack, you beat me to it. The common species name of the bird is Canada Goose, although it could quite possibly be Canadian as well, no? I mean not that they carry passports and sport national identities, but still... Quite common misstep to call them Canadian Geese.

                        It's a warm water heater.

This miss naming stuff started on June 6, 1944. D-Day the D stands for Day so it was Day-Day. That's when it all started.

And what about all the extra letter "u" I see in words. Colour, Armour, Harbour, ect. it pure insanity.

roc-craven, the extra U is british spelling. I think we even may have done it that way a long time ago, but somewhere we dropped it. they also do other odd things like pronounce aluminum al you min eeee um.

Actually D-Day doesnt really mean Day-Day , D-Day is a term often used in military parlance to denote the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated. "D-Day" often represents a variable, designating the day upon which some significant event will occur or has occurred

I know we've moved past black IPA, but I think if you want to be that literal, I think you shouldn't call your beer IPA if you've never exported it to India!
