Looking at a beer festival like event with ticket sales for samples of beer in Denver, CO. Anyone know if I have to charge sales tax on the tickets? 1st hand knowledge would be very helpful if you have done this in CO before. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, you have to charge sales tax. You will likely also have to pay a use tax on any item you buy for the event but don't sell like tasting cups, t-shirts to volunteers etc. Consult with an accountant in advance of the event so you budget accordingly.
