    Question Proline Keg Filler Feedback

    Hey!

I'm considering getting one of those http://www.gwkent.com/proline-manual-keg-filler.html

Presently using this one for washing and filling and it works great http://www.gwkent.com/stainless-stee...ling-head.html

Thing is were getting an employee in shortly, I multi task during filling but hang around the cold room so I can hear the foam coming out and shut off the filler. I know full well that our employee will at one point forget about it and we will lose beer..

Now, anyone been using this proline filler? I get minimum foam coming out of the gas port when I fill and I wonder if foam alone will stop the flow?

When I fill kegs I get a bit of foam coming out then I open the gas port to full position a second to see beer coming out then shut it off.

Any feedback from someone using it now will be appreciated!

    Thanks!
    Cheers!

I remembered reading about others having problems with using those but I think a few people have gotten it to work. Personally, I just use the regular filling head like you do and as long as you are paying attention, it works just fine. If you put the end of the hose into a bucket you can also listen to the bubbles. Here's the link to a previous discussion: http://www.probrewer.com/vbulletin/s...ad.php?t=17239

    Works fine for me

Been using the Proline Filler for about a year and it works well. Between kegs I screw off the check valve fitting and rinse it down with sanitizer to get the foam out and the ball moving freely.
    Cheers,

We have one and it works great. Just make sure the kegs are pressurized to a little over the tank pressure.

If you get lots of foam and the ball keeps getting stuck, you might be filling too fast. Weigh a keg and make sure you're filling it all the way.

Thank you all for the quick reply!

Yes I also put the gas post hose in a bucket so I get an audible signal when its about to be full.

I might just stick with the filling head without the fancy gadget

    Cheers!
