are your systems approved for commercial use for smaller seasonal batches? what is the annual outpoot they are capable of?
We manufacture 3Bbl Brewing Stations right here in the USA, located in the brewing capital of the world, Portland OR. Our designs come from a collaboration of local brew masters wanting a turn-key system. We currently have 8-week lead times on our 3Bbl Brew Stations. This turn-key station runs around $20k and is all 304 Stainless Steel. We can get you setup and ready to produce beer for around $60k.

AJ, thanks for your interest. Our systems are approved for commercial use. And they are currently being used at a handful of breweries across the nation. You can check out which ones through our website, portlandkettleworks.com. Our largest client is Rogue Brewery, they are using our small system as a pilot system for their new recipes. I would put a max annual output on the 3Bbl system at 1000 Bbls. Thats double batching 3 days a week for 50 weeks.Originally Posted by aj.whatley
I hope that helps.
Here is a 3Bbl system we produced for Powell Street Brewery in Vancouver, BC. We can get you setup and ready for brewing for roughly $60K. That price includes tanks! Manufactured right here in Portland, OR.

Portland Kettle Works is proud to sell and produce USA made products as well as hire US Veterans.
What would be included tank wise for the 60k price tag?
$60k +/- is the ballpark, but that would be to include a couple of 7Bbl FV's and 7Bbl BT's. For a complete setup to include, gylcol system, venting, shipping/crating, I would budget roughly $85k. We can supply most of the equipment you are needing, there are just a few items we are still working to get distributorship with (mill/auger to be one of them). Shoot me an email if you need more information. Our current lead time on a 3Bbl with a couple of tanks is 8-10 weeks.
Great look and feel to your site, very professional!

I was at Fairhope Brewing when they were setting up their new system from PDXKettleWorks. It looked like very good equipment and I know the brewer is happy. Cheers!
I understand where you are coming from. Unfortunately, making a 1.5Bbl system takes almost the same time and energy as making a 3Bbl system does, so for just a couple thousand dollars more you can double your output. The last thing I would want to do is sell you a 1.5Bbl system and then you have to buy a larger system only a few months later because you cant keep up with demand.
We currently have slots in our Production Schedule for ship dates in August and September! We only require 30% down to get you on the schedule and it allows us to order sheet goods for your custom, USA Manufactured equipment. Let me know if you need a quote for a shipment in those months, chris@portlandkettleworks.com
Cheers!
Im looking for a quote for a 3bbl Mash tun, Hot liquior tank, and Brew kettle.

I was wondering approximately how much your 1 BBL system runs. I sent an email and did not receive a reply. Thanks.
Hi folks, I saw this thread and wanted chime in as we have a Portland Kettle 3BBL system.
Long story short, this system is fantastic and customer service is even better. We looked long and hard to find our 3BBL system and finally decided to go with PKW, and a large reason was because they answered the phone and took time to speak with us. It seems like there are a million nano's trying to start up during this beer boom so all these manufacturers are fielding an endless barrage of questions and callers and sometimes it seems like it takes an act of god to get someone on the phone. Portland Kettle Works took the time to talk with us and answer all of our questions, and the support did not end when the system showed up. I spoke to these guys morning, noon, and night (Sundays included) and they always took the time to help us out whenever we had any issues.
The equipment is top quality and American made, I love brewing on it. I will tell you our customers really appreciate the fact it was american made when we show them our system. Our brewery is in New Hampshire and we would be more than happy to show anyone our system if you would like to come up and see it. We will be using Portland in the future as we continue to grow.
