    Forklift Size

    Folks,

We are currently getting everything ready for a new brewery, and I am wondering what would be the correct forklift size (tonnage) for a 30 BBL brewery. Was thinking 3000 lbs, but maybe bigger might be better.

    Thanks

    go big

I don't think you'll regret it if you go for a 5,000 lb lift. It comes in very useful when you have equipment to move around

    Depends on your brewery size.

I rented a 3000 lb lift, and we couldn't fit it in the cooler properly, and it was far harder to maneuver than the 2450 lb lift we own.

So bear in mind that you have to keep your lanes that much bigger for a heavier lift. With the 2450 I can stack pallets of 72 cases of 12 oz bottles three high. But I can't lift a 3 stack of 1/2 bbl full kegs.

I prefer the small lifts. Until a tank arrives, that is!

I agree with Steve, 5000 lbs is the way to go.
