  • Keg leasing options

    Hi all,

I'm curious to see what other breweries are doing besides using M-Star kegs or outright purchasing your own float. We've been using M-Star kegs for about 10 years now, and our current contract comes up next year. There are a lot of new options out there now, from Keg Logistics to Kegspediter to Keg Credit and probably more. Do you lease your kegs? Who do you use and do you recommend them?

We are a couple months into a new contract with Microstar. We were coming from Keg Logistics, which is very expensive (compared to Microstar). We were forced to start with Keg Logistics for the first 1.5 years as our volume was too low for Microstar.

How has your 10 years been with Microstar? Anything I should look out for?

      leasing

We are leasing through Atlas Kegs. Happy so far. They are quick and responsive when it comes to increasing our float. Pricing is competitive and their deposit rates are less than I expected. If youre into leasing kegs for your local market, while keeping Mstar for farther flung areas, I think they are a good choice.

      Cheers
