    Inverted Filling

Does anyone else fill their kegs inverted filling thru the gas port? We have been doing it this way on our 1BBL setup (non-pressure rated 1bbl fermenters) transferring using a centrifugal pump (low speed), diffusing some CO2 inline, and keg carbonating. We just put a 3BBL unitank into use (1st bath thru is carbonating in the vessel now). I will try pressurizing the kegs and allowing them to fill with a slight pressure differential as mentioned above but was wondering if there are any drawbacks to filling inverted? In my limited experience, Filling from the bottom thru the gas port seems to disturb the beer less (less foam).
    Cheers,
    Thomas

we force carbonate as usual then at kegging we bump the co2 pressure in the bright/carbonation tank up 10 lbs. A pressure relief valve on the gas side of the keg to be filled is set ar carbonation pressure . This allows us to keep the pressure in the keg at or above foaming pressure.
