    Whole hops vs Pellets

    Hello,

    Is it harder to rinse out whole hops from the kettle than with pellets. I intend to switch from pellets to whole hops due to problems in the whirlpool operation.

    It has been my experience that whole hops in the brew kettle present a cleaning "challange". I feel they are a nightmare to deal with and tend to cling to every surface. Heaven help you if you get any into your heat exchanger! Pellets, on the other hand, tend to "cone-up" much better than whole hops (maybe due to their dissolved, uniform shapes). My vote: PELLETS!
