Wormtown Brewery in Worcester, MA is looking for a cellar person. Wormtown Brewery opened up in the Spring of 2010 in a small 1000 barrel facility producing draft only beer. After winning awards at the GABF, World Beer Cup, GIBF, DIBC, USBTC, and becoming the 2014 US Open Grand National Champion a new facility opened in January of 2015. The new facility has a current capacity of 9000 bbls that is easily expandable to 30,000 bbls.
Cellar Person / Asst. Brewer
Duties and responsibilities:
CIP of tanks, hoses, and fittings
Sanitation of tanks, hoses, and fittings
Attention to detail
Check gravities, pressurize tanks, and carbonate beer
Clean growlers
Assist on brewhouse and packaging lines
General maintenance
General knowledge of brewing and packaging
Competence with all safety regulations
Knowledge of proper chemical use and storage
Yeast Handling
Cleaning all areas of the brewery
Process improvement and SOP’s input
Receive raw materials and inventory
Grain crushing
Loan / unload trucks with a fork lift and pallet jack
Transfer beer between tanks
Dry hopping
Requirements
Brewing experience
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft office
Compensation
Commensurate with experience
Paid vacation

Ability to attend industry events that benefit continued education in brewing
