    SCOPE & GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
    The Entry Level Production Team member plays a crucial part in producing the highest quality Bootlegger’s beer. This is an entry level position that will involve primarily keg cleaning, helping with the bottling line, loading and unloading trucks, bottle labeling and packaging, repacking cases, and various other tasks as needed.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Effectively receive and give direction as necessary
    • Experience in a production brewery preferred but not required
    • Experience in a manufacturing and/or packaging company preferred but not required
    • Experience and solid understanding in mechanics and equipment maintenance preferred but not required
    • Flexible work schedule to accommodate production as needed, able to work nights and/or weekend shifts



    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN ENTRY LEVEL PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBER:
    • Must enjoy beer and the culture of beer
    • Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and safety guidelines
    • Ability to work hard
    • A good, positive attitude
    • Willingness to perform many different tasks in production as needed
    • Ability to multitask effectively
    • Thorough and acute attention to details
    • Ability to work with hot water and chemicals
    • An interest in consistently growing and learning
    • Troubleshoot mechanical problems as necessary
    • When necessary, maintaining proper logs of production procedures including packaging, labeling, and keg cleaning
    • Assistance with milling grains as necessary
    • Assistance with labeling bottles and with the labeling machine as necessary
    • Occasional Evaluation of raw materials and ensure supply of raw materials
    • Equipment upkeep and maintenance
    • Completion of paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
    • Adhere to safe practices and SOP’s.
    • To communicate regularly and efficiently with fellow employees and management
    • To maintain high standards of punctuality, attendance, attitude, and hygiene (Hygiene: To practice high standards of personal hygiene at all times in terms of grooming and uniform)
    • To maintain the required standards of operational hygiene at all times, including safety procedures such as slip resistant shoes, gloves, and protective eye wear
    • Interpersonal Skills: To maintain a harmonious work relationship between yourself, your coworkers, and customers
    • To communicate a positive attitude, sincere interest, and to interact in a positive way with staff and management alike.



    ABILITIES AND SKILLS
    • Must be punctual
    • Must be able to safely operate forklift and willing to become forklift certified if not already certified
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with suppliers and distributers
    • Must be able to multi-task
    • Must be able to effectively manage time
    • Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
    • Must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic
    • Must have the ability to multi-task while being detail and quality focused
    • Must be able to work both independently and as a team
    • The job occasionally requires the ability to lift 55 lb grain bags / 44 lb Hop boxes, climb stairs, stoop in close quarters, grip & manipulate Tri clamps and drag hoses, several times a day
    • Must be able to climb a ladder
    • Routine pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, climbing, and bending
    • Must have the ability to read and understand a variety of scientific instruments and calculations
    • Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver a keg (165 lbs)
    • Must be available to work flexible schedules including weekend and overnight shifts
    • Must be responsible and dependable
    • Must have a well-developed sense of humor
    • Enjoy having fun and making good beer
