Still looking at the production of fuel grade ethanol.
I got quite a bit of help with my earlier question on separation of yeast and wondered if anyone out there can help me with the distillation.
I'm looking at various methods of distillation but would like to get an idea of how long a distillation column would last between shutdowns for cleaning with and without purification of the fermentation product. Any rules of thumb in the industry.
I'm also interested in other methods of concentration of the ethanol, anyone got any information on the use of Pervaporation in this context ?
