Taproom Manager
About the Position:
A key part of our business, our taproom is often the first place that people experience Shebeen Brewing Company and our beers. Because of this, we truly believe that the experience must be fantastic — from the service they receive, to the beers they drink, to the space they drink it in.
The taproom manager will be responsible for all aspects of taproom operations. In addition, the taproom manager will be filling the role as one of our bartenders day to day.
Day to day activities include:
Bartending
Ensuring all of our customers have the best possible experience in the taproom
Managing other bartenders and volunteers
Following up on all cleaning and stocking checklist and tasks
Opening up and closing out the shift
Assisting with events in the taproom
Working with the management team to properly market the taproom
Keeping accurate inventory
Regular tap line maintenance
Communicating with the management team about all taproom needs
Running the Mug Club and 100 Club
All other day to day activities necessary to keep the tap room running
-Including, but not limited to:
-Maintaining the menu board
-Training new volunteers
-Updating POS
-Organizing the walk-in
-Finding shift coverage when necessary
-Taproom accounting
The Taproom Lead will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Sales.
Skills required:
Excellent personal communication skills
Attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership
A basic familiarity with social media and other technology
The ability to lift 70 pounds
The ability to transport kegs with a dolly
The right person will be in at the ground level of a small craft brewery. We’re all wearing multiple hats, and you will too. We’re looking for a team player, and one who is excited about the challenge of helping to build a successful business. We’re looking for someone who is interested in playing a role in the overall business long term.
