I've read that in Germany that lab tests indicate glyphosate(Monsanto Roundup) in finished beer, indicating that farmers are using it to "set up" for a more efficient harvest. I was wondering if this is a standard operating procedure for farmers here in the U.S. and if they have to disclose it to their respective sales distributors and pass that info on to the consumers/breweries et. al. Also, I've been following the organic vs traditional malt thread and if organic farmers(whether certified or not) strictly prohibit glyphosate in their products, that would nudge me over to consuming organic products for my brewing raw materials.
