We're hiring! Beertender wanted!
Outer Light Brewing Company is seeking qualified candidates to join our team and knowledgeably present our beer in the OLBC taproom. The ideal candidate must be able to articulate the finer points of beer appreciation and have a true passion for beer. This posting is for taproom room staff only. We have no current plans to hire for brewery operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serving beer, bussing, cleaning, using POS system for transactions, preparing bar for opening shifts, closing down and cleaning after evening shifts, selling/stocking merchandise, moving/restocking kegs and more cleaning. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
-Must be at least 21 years and have the endurance to be on your feet serving beers for the duration of a shift, among various other tasks
-The ability to commit to work at least 3-4 shifts including weekends (Friday 2:30-9, Saturday 12-9 and Sunday 12-5)
-Friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, reliable and customer-focused bartender with a passion for craft beer
-Desire to promote the brewery and contribute to sales growth, including growler and merchandise sales
-Ability to move kegs up to 160lbs
Other nice-to-haves include:
-TIPS trained or the ability to become TIPS trained before starting
-Comfortable with the brewery processes and ability to lead tours
