  • kettle flue question

I have 2x10 ft pieces of stainless kettle stack single wall. My question is it will penetrate the roof at about 12 ft. What have others used to protect the roof? Does it need a double wall like a B vent at the penetration? Can anyone recommend how they did it or is there a single piece of equipement I could get that I'm not coming across to satisfy any codes and still be able to use the stack I have. It's part of a used DME 15 bbl combi tank system.

    thanks

I used double wall the whole way, which has 1 inch clearances. Then a roof jack to hold it in place. With single wall you will probable need a ceiling support box, like for a wood stove, which will provide the required clearances.
