POSITION SUMMARY:
The VP of Sales for Yee-Haw Brewing will be responsible for distributor and sales team management, the development of both on and off premise business, management of key accounts, as well as building our presence with national chains and retailers. This position will have numerous direct reports and will be based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Distributor and Account Management:
• Relationship and business management of multiple wholesalers.
• Heavy focus on driving sales through direct reports and wholesaler reps.
• Lead a sales team of on and off premise reps to deliver results.
• Develop and manage promotional programs, events and quarterly incentives.
• Motivate wholesaler management and sales force in order to achieve sales objectives, including the development and oversight of wholesaler incentive programming.
• Ensure growth of brand presence within existing accounts.
Profitable Growth:
• Develop annual sales plan.
• Meet regional and individual sales objectives as they relate to overall brewery goals.
• Operate effectively within company and budgetary guidelines.
• Work with distributor to manage inventory and participate in product and merchandise selection to forecast inventory needs and meet sales goals.
• Establish and report sales metrics and KPI’s for our wholesaler network.
• Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities, developing trends, and maximize efficiency.
Management of Direct Reports:
• Partner with team to plan out weekly/monthly account visits and promotional events.
• Coach and develop team to ensure sales goals are met and important relationships are maintained.
• Check, confirm and ensure all reporting is accurate and timely from direct reports.
• Hire to support growth as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree
• MBA is preferred
Experience/Skills:
• Minimum of 10 years of continued growth in beer sales leadership and distributor management required.
• Previous experience with a rapidly growing brand.
• Proven ability to establish, meet and exceed sales goals.
• Proven experience with budgeting, strategic planning, effective negotiation, account focus, management proficiency, managing profitability and distributor quality.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to be proactive and take initiative.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and events.
• Team focused with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Well-developed communication skills.
• Sound, experience driven judgment and professional maturity.
• Knowledge of and passion for craft beer and brewing industry.
Transportation:
• Proof and maintenance of a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
• Periods of standing, moving and lifting kegs and cases of beer, required.
