Three Notch'd Brewing Co. is looking for an experienced brewer to take the helm from the Brewmaster's morning shifts on the brewdeck.
We are a 3 year old, 20bbl brewery currently operating at 6,000 bbls with 400bbl fermentation capacity with a huge expansion project in order for, increasing us to 30,000 bbl annual capacity. We operate under our own Distribution Company throughout Central and Northern Virginia and have 2 small breweries with tasting rooms in addition to our production facility; one in Harrisonburg, VA and one that just opened in Richmond, VA.
The expected hours will be Tuesday-Friday 5am-1pm and 9-5 on Saturdays. (Once trained and independent, Saturday hours are pretty flexible.) Pay is negotiable and will be highly based on experience.
The brewery has a casual, friendly environment with an open door policy that always welcomes visitors. The brewer must be friendly and inviting/welcoming as we do a lot of collaborations with many guests often in the brewery. It is also important that the brewer has great patience as we are a very fast growing company with many kinks to still work out. There is no room in the brewery for tempers. Other requirements include lifting 55 lb grain sacks up to chest level, hauling 500 lb spent grain barrels on a cart, running up and down steps and all other physical demands of brewing.
