The Brewing Projekt is on the hunt for a head brewer.
The Projekt is a two year old brewery located in Eau Claire, WI (about an hour and a half East of Minneapolis/Saint Paul). Tucked into a tiny 3200sqft warehouse space the brewery has produced over 20 different production beers (Including GunPowder IPA, WISCoast, MidNight Oil, WISKtoberfest, SoWAH, and Eaux Henry Eaux Sally (a collaborative effort with Danish brewer Mikkeller) just to name a few) and nearly a hundred pilot batches. At the heart of our operation is a 20BBL Premier Stainless three vessel brew house and an ABE LinCan canning line. The Brewing Projekt is slated to expand into a new location in 2017 bringing it’s total space up to 25000SqFt. Upon expansion The Brewing Projekt plans to expand into mixed culture fermentation, increased barrel aging program, and generally more exciting kick assery. In case you're wondering kick assery means we don't really like boring.
Our philosophy from day one has been to make unique and interesting beers. We’ve brewed everything from a traditional Marzen and Scotch Ale to a golden ale brewed with fresh lemon zest and basil or an imperial stout brewed with molasses, vanilla, spices, and cherries. No style or style guideline is out of bounds. Experimentation is quite possibly the most important part of our ethos.
The ideal applicant has experience as a brewer in a commercial brewery and understands all aspects of brewing, QA/QC, CIP, as well as brewery maintenance hygiene and cleanliness. Strong work ethic and a desire to push the liquid envelope a must. Salary is competitive AND negotiable, health and dental, super flexible vacation time, ownership possibilities through future establishment of ESOP.
