MONDAY NIGHT BREWING HIRING PRODUCTION MANAGER (Atlanta, GA)

Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, GA) is seeking a full-time Packaging Manager to run kegging, bottling and canning operations. Start date is immediate. This person will be responsible for directly managing the packaging team (shift managers and part-time help) as well as ensuring maximum uptime and quality for the millions of kegs, cans, and bottles that are produced at the brewery.

Qualifications:

• Must have strong interpersonal management skills and experience managing a team
• Must be an initiative taker with a constant desire for improving process
• Safety-mindedness is of the utmost importance (lifting, chemicals, hot liquids and hardware, inhalation hazards, noise)
• Willingness and ability to step in wherever needed
• Forklift experience (or desire to learn)
• Good mechanical skills (understanding of motors, fluid dynamics, pressures and general machinery)

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of the packaging department personnel and operations including:
• Keg washing and filling
• Can filling
• Bottle filling and labeling
• Ongoing attention to key production metrics (both from a quality and efficiency standpoint) and communication of those metrics to both management and team members.
• Regular troubleshooting and maintenance of kegging, canning and bottling lines
• Daily forklift work keeping inventory and finished goods organized and in correct place
• Cleaning the brewery, equipment, and beer lines religiously
• Precise record-keeping for all raw materials, packaging materials, government records, production records, shipping/receiving documents
• Managing the safety of the brewery and production area: Safety-mindedness is of the utmost importance (lifting, chemicals, hot liquids and hardware, inhalation hazards, noise)

Optional, but not required:

• Brewery experience
• Owns bedazzled clothing
• Packaging experience

Physical demands

• This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials
• Stands and/or traverses brewery for long periods of time
• Frequently climbs stairs/staircase
• Frequently bends, moves, transports, or lifts 60 pounds and move 165 pounds safely.
• Use repetitive motions
• Can work in both hot and cold temperatures
