  • Hemp in Beer?

I'm looking at using hemp (zero THC) in a beer. This will stay within our state so we will be exempt from TTB cola approval but I do not find hemp on the approved list of ingredients on the TTB website so I'm wondering what steps I will need to go through to get this recipe approved? Any advice?

You'll probably have to still get TTB approval. You'll have to register with TTB Formulas and submit the recipe, and provide a product spec sheet for the hemp, or anything else not TTB exempt.

I suggest you reach out to the fine folks at Kettlehouse Brewing in Missoula, MT. They have been making beers with hemp for years. No need to reinvent the hemp wheel.

      Prost!

Ditto for Humboldt Brewing Company, their Hemp Ale has been floating around California for ever.
