electric kettles
does anyone have any advice about electric kettle elements and flux density? I am aware that if the surface area of the element is too small, then the caramelisation of wort is more than likely, which may cause burnt flavors in a finished beer. But the larger the element, the more expensive. Is there a reasonable compromise, or a standard wattage per square inch that will minimise the bad effects of caramelisation, as well as being cost effective?
