  • Manual keg filling

    Hi there,

We have recently upgraded some of our 20bbl FV's and BBT's to 60bbl ones. On the 20 bbl BBT we have always used a manual keg filler made up from a cross tri-clover piece with 3 couplers attached to it for filling 3 kegs at a time.

We dont have the cash yet to buy an automated filler and was wondering, if possible and feasable, how would we go about filling kegs from the 60 bbl BBT's. Make up a manifold with more couplers attached? What pressure to put on the BBT to fill more kegs on a timely manner etc.

    Any input would be appreciated

    Cheers

Just add more tees and lines/fillers. We fill 4 at a time off our 90s, but you could easily do more by building a bigger manifold. Our tank pressure is set at 14psi.

Agreed. I have two manifolds connected to a Y and can fill up to 12 kegs at a time

        Question -

Has anyone ever tried "daisy chaining"/serial-ing the kegs together while filling, with one of these:

This is our exclusive auto-stop attachment. It fills a keg in 8-10 minutes and then shuts off the flow automatically. No more overflows. No more wasted time baby-sitting your kegs while filling. It needs to be connected to a keg coupler, such as our SKU # 2512 MicroMatic coupler. Our Beer Stop FOB can also be used with other international keg couplers besides Sankey D, such as G, U, A and S systems. This part # 5923 is only the attachment. If you also need a keg coupler with it you can order SKU # 5922 which comes complete with the MicroMatic coupler. You can even fill multiple kegs at the same time by hooking several up to a manifold. Our SKU # 3210 and # 3211 are examples of how this can be done. Spare parts are always available here at G.W. Kent. Over 20,000 of these great keg fillers are in use today on 5 continents. It pays for itself quickly from savings in labor and spilled beer.

on the last sanke filler so that the filling comes to a stop with all the kegs are full, thus allowing you to do and do something else while they fill??

        Thx.
