    I'm looking at experimenting with different methods of adding flavor to beer, I'm wondering if anyone has tried making simple syrups to add to secondary? I've made simple syrup with hops before for cocktails, and I found the flavors extracted to be really fresh and potent, with very little bitterness. It started me thinking this method might provide better flavor extraction and retention than traditional dry hopping or aging methods. Just wondering if anyone has tried something along these lines, and what their results were.
