have ya heard? SS beer lines!

So I watched the Greg's VBlog for Stone Brewery and for their new Brewery they have SS beer lines running from the beer cooler to the taps. Question at hand is this:

Are the SS meant to be longer lasting and easier to clean or do you think they are a un-needed extravegance? (Sp?)

You could pump some seriously hot, nasty stuff through stainless lines as opposed to poly to keep them sparklingly clean, I suppose.

I'm guessing, but could keep 'pythons' more organized. Cooling trace on the python might be more effective (steel having much better heat transfer ability then poly)?

Less flexible on installation in retrofit situation obviously. If you were to design the space around them however...
