  • 55 gallon stainless steel barrels

I have a number of empty 55 gallon stainless steel barrels that used to house Nitric Acid for the cleaning of stainless steel. Can i use these barrels, with proper cleaning of course, for extra HLT's, or boil vessels for a pilot setup. I know Nitric Acid is used to clean stainless in breweries already, so would this be ok to do? Thanks in advance.

I realize this may sound like a stupid question, but there are many more people here that have much more experience with Health Codes and such that i simply don't. All i need is a yes or no.

All Stainless? CIP it and go on with it. It is Stainless and Nitric is used in breweries all the time.

Have any stainless barrels you would be willing to part with? Looking for 2 to start building a CIP system.

Hey man I'm in Altoona pa. If you have extra barrels to sell I'd be interested in buying some. Let me know. Or if you have a line on some.
