  • Cellar/Packaging, Line Cook, Zipline Guide!!

    Greetings Everyone,

Blind Squirrel Brewery in Plumtree, NC has two unique seasonal positions available from April/May-October with lodging options available. We are gearing up for the busy summer season and are looking for a couple of qualified folks to help us out in the brewery, restaurant, as well as working as a zipline guide on our canopy zipline course.

Ideally, one of these positions would be filled by someone that can cross over between working in the brewery and cooking on the line and the other position would be filled by someone that can crossover between working in the brewery and working as a Zipline guide. I still have two private staff rooms available at the Elk Mountain Lodge located on our campground just one mile from the brewery/taproom/restaurant. We are also looking for one more server so the possibility of bringing on a couple is an option.

The provided lodging requires a trade contribution of 15 hours/week. The line cook/brewery position would be a total of 20 hours in the brewery on Wed-Thursday and 30 hours in the restaurant on Fri-Sunday for a total of 50 hours (15hrs in trade and 35 paid). Brewery training will be provided and although a plus, no experience is required. This applicant must have at least 2 years of experience as a line cook. This position will begin at the end of April/beginning of May.

The zipline/brewery position would be a total of 20 hours in the brewery on Mon-Tuesday and work on the ziplines as needed throughout the remaining days of the week. In addition to being paid for the zipline tour, you will also receive tips from our zipline participants. If interested, this applicant could also pick up additional work at the restaurant when not running the lines. Although a definite plus on the brewery side, no experinece is required and training for ziplines will be provided.

*Note* Zipline guides must be in good physical condition and weigh no more than 250 pounds. Training for the ziplines will be a 3 day course on April 5th-7th and will only be held once at the beginning of the season. If you are not able to make these dates for training, this position is not an option

Please look us up online to learn more about who we are and what we do. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Respond to this post, shoot me a text at eight2eight-4six7-0eight6eight or send an email through our website.
