Red Lodge Ales is hiring a cellar person. The ideal candidate would have experience bottling, kegging, performing CIPs, and transfers. Forklift certification is a plus. We realize experienced brewery workers are in high demand, so we are also willing to train someone interested in learning the brewing process. Typically, new employees without experience will be fully trained in the cellar and brewhouse within 2-3 years depending on aptitude.
The brewery is located in Red Lodge, Montana. It is a small mountain town with a ski area, hiking, biking, fishing and all sorts of outdoor recreational opportunities. It is an easy hour drive to Billings, the largest city in the state that has an airport and many shopping amenities.
The brewery is 17 years old and will produce 8500 barrels this year. We bottle with a German rotary head filler. Our beers are sold in the Yellowstone region of Montana and Wyoming.
The job is 4 ten-hour days per week with occasional overtime.
Wages DOE.
Health benefits are available after a three-month probationary period. Retirement and vacation benefits are available after a six-month probationary period. Two free pints per day offered at the brewery tap room.
For those unfamiliar with cellar work, the successful candidate will be able to:
Lift up to 55 pounds
Move or lift 160-pound kegs
Work in cold and heat
Work in a wet environment
Be safety conscious
Stand for extended periods of time
Work well with a team and alone
If interested, please email andy@redlodgeales.com with a cover letter, resume, and references.
