CB Craft Brewers is a 10 BBL Brewery producing beer for our own label but also specializing in custom and contract beers. We have been open since 1997 and are now producing roughly 8000 bbl/year. This position is an excellent entry-level position that has great potential to grow along with us.
Position: Cellar Person/ Assistant Brewer
Hours: Part-Time or Full-Time, negotiable
Key Responsibilities
- Keg washing
- Package draft, bottled beer
- Assisting with beer cooler management and rotating stock
- Pull and load orders for distribution
- Check gravities, dry hop tanks, monitor fermentation temps and test CO2 levels of conditioning beer
- General brewery cleaning and maintenance
- Assist in all aspects of cellaring, aging, yeast handling and beer conditioning programs
- Receive, organize and inventory raw materials
- Maintain safe operation of fork lifts, pallet jacks and other stock maneuverability equipment once trained
Skills/Requirements
- Positive attitude and can work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment, including using chemicals properly, using small to medium sized machinery,
- Ability to lift and move 75 lbs and work on your feet significantly
- Flexible with work schedule (nights as needed)
- Frequent use of hands and arms, ability to kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to maneuver in enclosed spaces and on ladder elevations safely
- Previous experience in production facilities/breweries or homebrewing experience a plus
- Previous experience operating a forklift or mechanical/maintenance experience a plus
