  • Zahm & Nagel

    Hello,

I do apologize for my last post. I was asking if anyone knew how much I should be paying for a used Zahm & Nagel Series 1000 SS-60 Volume meter. I am not selling one, I would like to know what I should offering for one. The previous owner had it for 2.5 yrs.

    Thanks

We bought one new from Z&N two years ago for around $1,400, with a two-month wait. Base your offer on that. Unless it's been subjected to extreme abuse, these are nearly indestructible. Look for dents and broken gauge/thermometer.

If it's over ten years old, expect to replace the two valves, and also replace all the seals and gaskets. Having a spare sight glass is a good idea, and some spares of the sight glass gaskets. Z&N has all these parts listed with prices on their website.
