    FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

    Employment Type: Full-Time (Approx. 40 Hours/Week)

    Pay: $16.00/Hour + Eligibility for Medical, Dental, Paid Time Off

    About the Position:
    Joyride Coffee Distributors is seeking an Assistant Brewer who will work with the his/her Production team to drive quality coffee and craft beverage production. We are looking for someone who will be responsible for daily preparation and sanitization of brewing, packaging, and serving equipment. In addition, the Assistant Brewer will help maintain a clean and compliant workplace, adhering to Joyride Coffee’s standards and processes. The position will also assist in receiving deliveries as well as inventory management.

    Ideal Candidate:
    The ideal Assistant Brewer candidate has experience in and an enthusiasm for craft food or beverage and production and a deep dedication to and passion for quality. The ideal candidate is punctual and detail-oriented, and is able to keep meticulous records and maintain high levels of compliance with all policies and procedures. He/she is also flexible, and able to adjust to seasonal changes in demand or tweaks to the production process.

    What You’ll Do:
    • Clean and sanitize coffee production, packaging, and serving equipment
    • Prepare brewing vessels and equipment for daily cold brew coffee production.
    • Maintain the facility by performing scheduled cleaning and maintenance
    • Organize raw material and finished product to facilitate usage and distribution of the freshest coffee available
    • Assist in weekly, monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts
    • Receive deliveries
    • Conduct all work in a manner that promotes safety and productivity
    • Perform other duties as needed

    What’s Required:
    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
    • 1-2 years of food and beverage industry experience; 1-2 years of food or beverage production experience preferred
    • Enthusiasm and knowledge for craft food and beverage
    • Reading, counting and basic math ability
    • Neat, legible handwriting and ability to write routine reports and correspondence
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Must be a team player above all else who is willing to assist in other areas when needed
    • Prioritizes workplace safety, food safety and sanitation
    • Thorough and accurate work habits, with focus on improving quality
    • Experience with ERP systems is a plus
    • Aptitude with computers, especially Google Documents and Sheets
    • Solution-focused and innovative approach to solve challenges in a timely and creative manner
    • Dependable and punctual, always ensuring work responsibilities are covered when absent, accountable for their own actions, and committed to extended work hours when necessary to reach team goals
    • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in the work environment by managing competing demands
    • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
    • Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 65 pounds and ability to lift 50 pounds over head repeatedly
