    OVERVIEW:

    Fort Point Beer company is looking for a seasoned Production Manager committed to producing the highest quality beer possible. Orchestrating every aspect of the production process, from processing raw materials to the packaging and storage of finished goods, requires true leadership skills to play to every employee’s strengths and develop our team professionally. Scheduling, workflow enhancement, and enforcement of safeguards and record keeping at critical control points all come second nature to the Production Manager, who champions Fort Point’s good manufacturing practices.

    PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Person in Charge (PIC) on the production floor in tandem with Senior Production Manager—this includes emergency response readiness
    • Ensure compliance: shift breaks and overtime tracking
    • Help Production staff with troubleshooting
    • Train production employees on and enforce adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures
    • Coordinate with Head Brewer and Senior Production Manager to execute production schedule
    • Coordinate with Head of Quality to maintain industry-leading QA/QC standards
    • Assist the Head Brewer and Senior Production Manager in finding and correcting process inefficiencies using continuous improvement principles
    • Implement and maintain appropriate SQF, GMP and HAACP protocols


    SECONDARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Execute all duties of Brewery Technician IV role as needed (all cellar tasks and wort production)


    KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
    • Competent with the Google suite
    • Knowledge of complex manufacturing systems, automated processes, and quality control practices
    • 5+ years of manufacturing facility experience (Brewery specific is a plus)


    REQUIRED SKILLS:
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Demonstrated mechanical ability & technical aptitude
    • Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and motivate team members.
    • Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and implement procedures for solutions
    • Must able to work autonomously with focus and determination
    • Excellent communication skills


    KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED:
    • College degree in related field
    • Knowledge of OSHA standards
    • Experience with implementing and maintaining effective SQF, GMP, and HACCP compliance
    • Expertise in continuous improvement principles and/or formal Lean and/or Six Sigma training/ certifications
    • Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment strongly preferred (including but not limited to steam boiler, centrifuge, centrifugal pump, roller mill, forklift, pallet jack, canning line, basic electrical and plumbing)

    COMPENSATION:
    • $65,000 - $75,000 depending on experience
