    Invictus Brewing Co. is a startup production brewery and taproom located in Blaine, MN just 20 minutes north of Minneapolis. Blaine is home to approximately 60,000 people and is one of the fastest growing cities in the State of MN. It is home to the National Sports Center (NSC), one of the largest amateur athletic complexes in the world. The brewery will be located within a short walking distance to the NSC. In the immediate surrounding area of the brewery are nearly 50 outdoor soccer fields, 4 indoor fields, 4 baseball/softball fields 8 indoor hockey rinks, 2 golf courses, an outdoor soccer stadium and an expo/event center. It is estimated that more than 4 million people attend events at the NSC and surrounding athletic facilities each year. Visitors come from all over the region, state, country and the world for many athletic events and trade shows. Many of these people are potential guests in the brewery as are locals and people who view craft beer taprooms as a destination in and of itself.

    The brewery will be a ground-up build. Construction is expected to start in May/June 2017 and the brewery is slated to open in November 2017. Our taproom will be sports themed and will consist of a 2 vessel 15 BBL brew house and be able to produce 2,000 BBLs annually with the facility designed for easy and rapid expansion. Food will be provided by an onsite kitchen/restaurant with a limited menu through a partnership with a local food vendor specializing in locally sourced cuisine.

    We are looking for a professional brewer that will bring experience, creativity, passion for community and craft beer, and leadership to our brewing operations.

    Qualifications:
    • Preferred 2+ years professional brewing experience or the equivalent education
    • A passion for producing the highest quality craft beer
    • Ability to develop creative and unique recipes for a diverse range of beer styles for the taproom and distribution.
    • Ability to accurately track inventory, continuously improve efficiencies and maintain compliance with all company policies and regulations
    • Ability and willingness to educate staff (beertenders, servers, production, cellar, etc.) on beer styles and craft beer culture
    • Attention to cleanliness and sanitation
    • Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends at least once or twice a week (occasionally more during peak periods)
    • Friendly personality and attention to customer service.

    This position would start 2 -3 months prior to opening to help in the planning process and to develop recipes for our first beers.

    Compensation will include a competitive salary based on qualifications, medical/dental insurance, 401(k), profit sharing and ST/LT disability insurance.
