Roadhouse Brewing Company, located in beautiful Jackson Hole, WY, is expanding to a new production facility and seeking a Head Brewer to oversee all aspects of our brewing operations. Roadhouse Brewery is focused on organically growing by continuing to develop quality products, a highly visible brand, strong consumer retention, and a high level of employee satisfaction. We are moving from our brewpub location into a new 10,000sq. ft. production space and broadening our distribution into the regional retail market.
Leadership Responsibilities:
• Lead brewery staff with clear communication, competence, and energy;
• Work effectively as a collaborative member of a united team;
• Carry out the Vision of the Owners by continuing to develop a premium craft brand, keeping quality first in mind and embracing creativity;
• Act and be seen as a source of knowledge and inspiration to those you work with;
• Work closely with the COO to generate weekly production schedules and ensure they are met;
• Manage inventory and ongoing procurement of ingredients and purchasing optimization;
• Conduct critical assessment of beers and ensure products meet rigid quality standards
Job Requirements:
• Excellence in brewing that pairs meticulous cleanliness with an endless drive for creativity;
• Cellaring, yeast management and recipe development;
• Perform maintenance on boiler and brewing equipment;
• Standard Operating Procedures developed and followed for brewing, cellaring and sanitation;
• Recipe development for seasonals and extensive barrel-aging program;
• A work ethic aligned with, and supportive of a high growth organization;
• A passion for our business and our products;
• 5+ years of professional brewing experience (preferably on a 30+ BBL system);
• Formal brewing education and/or equivalent professional brewing experience is a positive but not necessary
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 55 pounds;
• Must have the ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, work from heights, stoop, kneel and crouch
