  • Alternatives to "Happy Hours" in Brewpub

We are within a month or so of opening a brewpub in a Mexican resort and snowbird town and are weighing the pros and cons of offering a happy hour. I'm interested in 1) your thoughts on the matter in general and 2) if anyone has tried offering alternatives to happy hour. We will be operating a "mug club" but do not see this as a happy hour replacement.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences

We have a weekly beer special, 4-6 PM. It isn't a happy hour as only the one beer is cut-rate. It's a great way to introduce our customers to new beers they otherwise might not try.

Thats a great idea, what kind of discount do you do?

IIRC, $3 for a British pint. Makes the locals happy for a couple of hours, and gets them to try something new.
